Dr. Weiss came to OHSU for her residency in Internal Medicine (2003-2006). After spending a year in private practice, she entered OHSU’s nephrology fellowship in 2007 where she completed 3 years of fellowship training with an emphasis on clinical research. Since completing her fellowship, Dr. Weiss has transitioned into a faculty position at OHSU where she currently splits her time between patient care and clinical research. Dr. Weiss’ research focus is geriatric nephrology, and specifically in the use of epidemiologic data to improve our understanding of the manifestations and outcomes of chronic kidney disease in older adults. She enjoys ongoing collaborations with Kaiser Center for Health Research and the VA Puget Sound as part of her research endeavors. Dr. Weiss’ research efforts are currently funded by a K12 award through the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
