Biography

After completing his Family Medicine training in Chicago, Dr. Wahls practiced in Roseburg for 24 years where he was a co- fonder of Evergreen Family Medicine. He has enjoyed long term patient relationships and the privilege of knowing people on a personal level, serving as a teammate as they navigate the opportunities of health. Steve joined the medical team at OHSU in 2008, and is particularly honored to have the chance to build relationships with residents and students in both outpatient and inpatient environments. His primary practice location is Scappoose, and he mentors residents at OHSU Family Medicine- Richmond one day each week.

Dr. Wahls Lives in NE Portland together with his wife and third daughter. He enjoys being closer to his two adult daughters, son in law and two grandchildren. Steve and his wife enjoy biking and yard work together. They have had fun exploring new areas of the state. Additional personal interests include aviation, downhill skiing and construction projects.
