Biography
Dr. Simpson specializes in all aspects of general dermatology with special interests in moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema), psoriasis and skin cancer. As director of the department's clinical studies unit, he is actively involved in clinical research and is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health to study new approaches for eczema treatment and prevention. Dr. Simpson enjoys supporting medical professional education and regularly instructs residents and medical students in medical dermatology. Additionally, he has published in several peer-reviewed journals and has spoken at national and international conferences. Outside of work, Dr. Simpson enjoys spending time with his wife and children, playing squash, backpacking, fishing, and biking. Learn more about the OHSU Department of Dermatology.
