Biography
Rachel was born and raised in San Diego, CA, graduated from college at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, lived in Indiana, and spent a month in Ecuador doing community health in the Amazon province prior to moving to Oregon. She spent a quick year in Chicago before returning for medical school at OHSU. Rachel likes to focus on the health of her community, so she is particularly interested in access to care, practice sustainability, and population health. Her interests in medicine include helping provide for the underserved, women’s health, procedures, integrative health methods, rural medicine, and essentially full scope primary care. Rachel enjoys fresh air and open spaces, hot tea, and singing choral and opera music (to her neighbors’ detriment). She prefers to be outside, with her dog Sophie, a german shorthaired pointer, especially if running, hiking, snow shoeing, or simply enjoying the Oregon landscape.
