Biography
Peter Schulman, M.D., is Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Schulman graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, completed his residency training in anesthesiology at New York University, and his critical care medicine fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center. Before joining the faculty at OHSU in 2007 he served as Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Care at the University of California, San Francisco. In addition to delivering anesthetic care, Dr. Schulman practices as an intensivist in the Cardiac and Surgical Intensive Care Unit. He is Director of Out of Operating Room Anesthesiology Services and Director of the Perioperative Pacemaker and Implanted Cardioverter Defibrillator Program. His research focuses on perioperative cardiovascular risk reduction; a principle interest is patients with an implanted pacemaker or cardioverter defibrillator.
