Biography
Dr. Kelli Schmitz is a native of Arkansas and received her medical degree from the University of Arkansas in 2000. She then completed a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, followed by a pediatric radiology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. In 2006, she joined the Oregon Health & Science University faculty as Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Radiology and Pediatrics. Dr. Schmitz specializes in pediatric imaging and is particularly interested in pediatric ultrasound and radiation dose reduction. She has published two journal articles and four scientific abstracts and has presented her research at International Pediatric Radiology and Society for Pediatric Radiology meetings. She thoroughly enjoys teaching students, residents, and fellows. Outside of work, she is devoted to her husband and their two young sons. Dr. Schmitz is a member of the Society for Pediatric Radiology, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, Oregon Radiology Society, and Oregon Medical Association.
