Biography
Dr. Scanlan currently serves as the medical director of Transfusion Medicine and the pathology residency training program at OHSU. His clinical interests are in transfusion medicine and FNA cytology. He earned his medical degree in 1980 from the University of California-Los Angeles, and completed his residency training in pathology at Providence St. Vincent Hospital in Portland. Dr. Scanlan has been board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology since 1986. He is currently serving as an associate medical officer of the National Testing Labs, American Red Cross.
