Biography
Kerri Russell is a public school teacher from the Multnomah Education Service District. She specializes in working with children and adolescents with chronic health conditions. She has expertise in understanding the potential educational barriers one may face as a childhood cancer survivor. She meets parents and students in our clinic, and by request, will contact schools to share research-based information, as well as her real-life experiences on how to best support individuals who have undergone cancer treatment. Her work includes: • Educating children with chronic illness and injury • Working with schools and parents in regards to the educational impact of diagnosis and treatment. • Providing school re-entry services after hospitalization. Kerri enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, two step sons and two nephews. When not doing “boy” things, she also enjoys dining, grabbing coffee and going on walks with her girlfriends.
