Y. Pritham Raj, M.D.

Biography

Dr. Raj is from Maryland. He completed undergraduate work at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, he completed residency training in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. He then joined the Duke faculty. He was an attending physician on the inpatient medicine, psychiatry and combined medical/psychiatry services, and also served as the medical director of the inpatient psychiatry unit. He has experience in consultation-liaison psychiatry, electro-convulsive therapy, and has done clinical research in obesity, depression in the critically-ill and dementia. He relocated to Portland in July 2006.
