Biography
Andrea O'Donnell specializes in adolescent health, family planning and general gynecology. Her current research focus is family planning. Andrea has always been interested in medicine and believes that everyone should be entitled to healthcare. She worked for several years as an R.N. focusing on women's health and pediatrics and decided to become a nurse practitioner so that she could have more direct impact with her patients. Andrea enjoys being able to incorporate research and clinical care, particularly around contraception and family planning. Originally from Minnesota, Andrea wanted to experience life outside the Midwest and moved to Portland, Oregon in 1998. She has worked at OHSU since graduating from the nurse practitioner program in 2004. Andrea enjoys the progressiveness of Portland and the proximity to both the mountains and the ocean. When she's not working, Andrea loves spending time with her husband and two young children. She also enjoys running, hiking, reading and traveling.
