Dr.Mummadi graduated from Osmania Medical College (Hyderabad, India) in 1998 and pursued an internal medicine residency in Gandhi Medical College (Hyderabad, India). He moved to United States in 2002 and spent a year in the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth learning the basics of biostatistics and epidemiology. He joined Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2003 and graduated in 2006. At graduation he was awarded the Thomas N and Gleaves T .James award for “excellent performance by an outgoing resident”. Dr.Mummadi pursued a graduate degree in clinical investigation simultaneously during his gastroenterology fellowship and was elected as a member of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society. He went on to pursue a third tier fellowship in advanced therapeutic endoscopy at the University of Colorado Hospital and has been a faculty at OHSU since July 2010. He likes to spend his spare time playing with his 2 year old daughter.
