Biography
Dr. Malempati is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology/Oncology. He received his M.D. degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed his pediatric residency at the University of New Mexico in 1999. After working as a pediatric hospitalist in New Mexico, he came to OHSU for fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, which was completed in 2005. Dr. Malempati is Director of the Pediatric Solid Tumor Program at Doernbecher Children's Hospital, and Medical Director of the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Inpatient Unit. His research focuses on the develpment of novel therapeutic agents for the treatment of childhood cancer.
