About me

Dr. LaFranchi specializes in caring for children with gland or hormone problems. He cares for children referred to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Pediatric Endocrinology Specialty Clinic for evaluation of concerns about growth, early or delayed puberty, and disorders of the thyroid, adrenal or pituitary gland. Children are seen together with the Fellow in Pediatric Endocrinology.

Dr. LaFranchi is the medical consultant for the Oregon Newborn Screening Program and so has a special interest in the two endocrine disorders, congenital hypothyroidism and congenital adrenal hyperplasia. He is also the Principal investigator on TRIAC II Trial in patients with Allan-Herndon-Dudley Syndrome.
