Barry Schlansky is a general and transplant hepatologist specializing in liver cancer, viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease, and cirrhosis before and after liver transplantation. He performs clinical outcomes research focusing on hepatocellular carcinoma and allocation of organs for transplantation.
Dr. Schlansky graduated with honors from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed a medical student pathology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. He moved west for an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Washington and specialty fellowships in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at OHSU. During his fellowships, he earned a master’s degree in public health. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology.
Outside of work, Dr. Schlansky enjoys spending time with his family, reading fiction, and cycling, skiing, and hiking the scenic Pacific Northwest.
