Amirala Pasha grew up in Lexington, KY and received his undergraduate degree in Mining Engineering at the University of Kentucky before going on to the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. During medical school, Amirala concurrently completed his master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California. He volunteered with the ACP’s national Council of Student Members (as a regional representative and vice chair), the Board of Governors and the Ethics, Professionalism and Human Rights Committee, where he was able to participate in the development of the sixth edition of the ACP’s Ethics Manual. During his free time, he enjoys skiing, traveling and spending time with his family. Amirala intends to pursue a career in academic medicine with a strong emphasis on research. His areas of interest include general internal medicine, health policy, medical humanities, hepatology and the field of biomedical engineering.
