"Even though I am a pediatric pulmonologist, I believe that a subspecialist is a pediatrician first and foremost. This was the ethic that was instilled in me throughout my training. I strive to take excellent care of my patients and their families and consider it an honor and a privilege to help care for your child."
Dr. Cornell specializes in treating kids who have lung problems. This includes common things like asthma and Cystic Fibrosis, as well as more rare conditions. She sometimes performs a procedure called a bronchoscopy, where a tiny flexible camera can look inside the lungs. Children are always asleep for this procedure and don’t remember a thing, but it can sometimes give the care team really helpful information about what is going on in the lungs.
In her spare time, Dr. Cornell loves spending time with her friends and family, including her husband and their Black Lab, Luci C. She enjoys baking, gardening, knitting, yoga, hiking, and tennis.
