"I feel so fortunate to have a career that allows me to do something I care about every day. One of the aspects I enjoy the most about my field is the ability to develop a personal bond with my patients. This allows me the opportunity to counsel and advise patients regarding their unique cancer, and to provide them with individualized, tailored care."
Dr. Koppie specializes in the multidisciplinary care of patients with urologic cancers, and is passionate about her work in this area. She seeks excellence in patient care, and is committed to developing new and improved treatments for urologic cancer. She strives for technical excellence in the operating room, and is experienced in both open and minimally invasive (laparoscopic/robotic) surgical approaches. Dr. Koppie is committed to her family, and like all working moms, makes an effort to maintain work/life balance. She has two wonderful little girls, Allison and Emily, and her husband Jim also works at OHSU in cancer research.
