Jeffrey M. Pollock, MD, holds the positions of Associate Professor of Radiology. He joined the faculty in August of 2008.
Dr Pollock spent most of his training in the southeast, primarily in Alabama and North Carolina, but has always loved the northwest. He attended Vanderbilt University where he graduated magna cum laude with a BS in 1997. He then went to the University of South Alabama receiving his MD in 2001. He completed his internship in internal medicine in 2002 and a subsequent residency in diagnostic radiology at South Alabama in 2006, serving as chief resident. He then completed a 2 year fellowship in Neuroradiology at Wake Forest University in 2008. He received his American Board of Radiology certificate in 2006 and his Certificate of Additional Qualification in Neuroradiology in 2008.
Dr Pollock has published nearly 20 peer reviewed journal articles and done over 30 presentations and lectures at National meetings in the last 3 years. He is primarily interested in advanced clinical MRI applications including but not limited to MR and CT Perfusion, Arterial Spin Labeled MRI Perfusion Imaging, Functional MRI, and MRI Spectroscopy. He also secretly admires head and neck clinical imaging.
Dr Pollock is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Association of University Radiologists, the American Society of Functional Neuroradiology, a senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology, and an active reviewer for the American Journal of Neuroradiology.
Dr Pollock has many interests outside of radiology including competitive cycling, windsurfing, and snowboarding.
