About me

Originally from Massachusetts, Maggie received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine in Portland. During five years of active duty service as a nurse in the United States Air Force, she worked inpatient medical/surgical and ICU in California and Colorado. After completion of her Master’s in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Certification in Colorado Springs, she worked in Family Practice as a nurse practitioner for two years. She then moved with her family to Portland, Oregon to be near relatives and experience the wonderful nature and friendly people of the Pacific Northwest. Seven years working in Digestive Health at OHSU piqued her interest in oncology and hematology. She joined Knight Cancer Institute in their Community Hematology and Oncology division in 2016. She greatly enjoys talking with patients about GI symptoms and concerns, and most of all, is honored to form ongoing partnerships with patients and their families.

She is licensed in Oregon and Washington as a nurse practitioner and holds board certifications in both Family Practice and Oncology. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Her military service continues locally, with the Oregon Air National Guard.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
