Rich Reed specializes in the pre, post, and intra-operative care and management of both children and adults with congenital cardiac disease. He has over 25 years of medical experience and has spent nearly the last 10 years practicing in the field of pediatric cardiac surgery. During his time here at Doernbecher he has been involved with literally thousands of surgeries in his area of practice.In his spare time, Mr. Reed enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his wife of eighteen years, Julie and their two sons, Justin (13) and Nicholas (11). The family enjoys trips to the mountains as well as the coast as time allows with their busy schedules. The boy’s are active in basketball, piano and trumpet lessons and spending time with their dog, Riley. When Rich is able to find some time for himself, he enjoys weightlifting, running, working in the yard and reading a good book.
