Dr. Leslie specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology with a focus on fibroid treatment options and general gynecological care. She is bilingual (English/Spanish) and has an interest in international healthcare. Dr. Leslie's research includes medical and institutional ethics, underserved care and social justice, HIV and women's health, and Latina birth outcomes. Her interest in women's health was inspired by her mother's feminist approach to raising her and her sister. Dr. Leslie loves being able to teach patients and students as part of her job-and is a lifelong learner herself.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Leslie chose to practice at OHSU because of its commitment to education and reputation for well-rounded care for all. She and her husband chose Portland because of the city's focus on sustainable living. Dr. Leslie stays active with hiking, skiing, SCUBA diving and dancing. She also enjoys reading and traveling to unusual places.
