Biography

Sally Hersh has been working as a nurse-midwife since 1987. She started out in Chicago and then worked in Boston for 3 years. She settled in Portland in 1990 with her husband, raising their 2 daughters while working in midwifery. Sally loves the academic environment of OHSU, where there is always an opportunity to learn and to teach. She speaks Spanish and has consistently worked with Spanish-speaking women throughout her career. She enjoys working with women from a variety of backgrounds. Beyond her passion for working in partnership with women during pregnancy, Sally is interested in the management of contraception and abnormal pap smears. She specializes in group prenatal care. Sally is the Nurse-Midwifery Practice Manager.

In her leisure time, Sally sings in a small women's vocal ensemble and loves to garden and cook.
