Biography

I consider myself a nonjudgmental "diabetes ally" and love working with patients who have diabetes, particularly those where good control has been difficult to achieve. Working together as a team to problem solve around the harder areas can make it easier to achieve many patient centered goals and improve health. I am an avid bicyclist and know that physical activity is nature’s antidepressant. I enjoy helping patients work exercise and other lifestyle modifications along with medication/ insulin modifications into their routine. In addition I have two almost grown children in college, a systems analyst husband who shares my love of the outdoors and a cat.
