Biography
Dr. Gross is a dedicated surgeon and scientist with a passion for the highest quality clinical care and cancer research. His interests include the diagnosis and treatment of aggressive skin cancers including melanoma, head and neck squamous cell cancers, thyroid and parathyroid disease and salivary gland and skull base tumors. His current research is focused on developing better tools to predict the results of treatment for patients with head, neck and thyroid cancers. He also studies how cancer develops in the body's cells and how new treatments can affect its development at the molecular level. He works with other OHSU scientists, including Drs. Molly Kulesz-Martin and Melissa Wong in the Department of Dermatology, on research projects. Dr. Gross is the director of head and neck cancer clinical trials at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. He is involved in many research studies with other scientists, hospitals and universities.
