Biography
Dr. Goetsch specializes in vulvodynia, vestibulodynia, minimally invasive procedures and international family planning. Her research interests include vulvar pain and pain relief for office procedures. Both of Dr. Goetsch's parents were physicians and she chose medicine because it offers many ways to positively affect people's lives. One of the most gratifying parts of her job is completing a surgery that will clearly help a patient's quality of life. However, Dr. Goetsch also loves to figure out how to help women avoid surgery when other options are possible. Originally from Berkeley, Dr. Goetsch, moved to Portland after attending school in the Northeast and South. She likes an active lifestyle that includes gardening, bicycling, and hiking. She is a ballet and classical music fan. CHILDBIRTH AND PREGNANCY PHILOSOPHY "I no longer see prenatal patients, but I still attend births when I am on call. I strongly support low intervention care so that our vigilance is subtle and effective for safety but does not take over the process."
