Biography
Devin Gattey, M.D. cares for adults with common medical and surgical eye conditions such as cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. Having performed thousands of cataract surgeries, he is dedicated to teaching this procedure to the resident surgeons at the Casey Eye Institute. He also performs lens-based refractive surgery for the correction of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Dr. Gattey is a former U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Nepal. He and his wife have raised their two sons in Oregon, attempting to instill values of compassion, volunteerism, and a dedication to challenging one's self. With an interest in foreign cultures, Dr. Gattey has traveled extensively teaching cataract surgery to trainees in developing countries. He currently serves as the Director of Comprehensive Ophthalmology and the Co-Director of International Ophthalmology at Casey Eye Institute.
