Biography
Judah Garfinkle, DMD, MS, is the Director of Craniofacial Orthodontics at the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery and Orthodontics. He is certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Garfinkle received his undergraduate degree at University of Oregon and his dentistry degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. He continued his training with a residency in Orthodontics at University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and a Craniofacial Orthodontics Fellowship at New York University Medical Center Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. His sub-specializes in the treatment of cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial anomalies , when treatment includes both an orthodontic and surgical intervention. Throughout his training and career, Dr. Garfinkle has authored several medical publications and has also presented at many conferences focusing on craniofacial orthodontics. He is a reviewer for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, The Angle Orthodontist, and the Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal. Dr. Garfinkle is a member of Harvard Society for the Advancement of Orthodontics, the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.
