Biography
Dr. Fromme specializes in palliative medicine, a specialty that focuses on making patients more comfortable during cancer treatment. He also does research on managing the symptoms of cancer. He started the first supportive oncology and palliative medicine clinic in Oregon, where he works with nurses, social workers and physical therapists to help patients with cancer and their families to control their symptoms and maximize the quality of their lives. Dr. Fromme specializes in managing cancer pain and other difficult symptoms such as nausea, tiredness, appetite loss and sleeplessness. The clinic is available to patients at any stage of illness and treatment. Dr. Fromme likes to cook, meditate and spend time with his wife and daughter. He is trying to learn to kiteboard in the Columbia Gorge, but it's not clear that he will be able to do it.
