Biography
Bryan Foster, MD is an Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Radiology. He joined the faculty in August 2011 and works in the Body Imaging Section. Dr. Foster grew up in the Northeast where most of his education occurred. He attended Bucknell University in central Pennsylvania and graduated in 2001. He then landed in Boston where he spent 9 years in medical school and residency at Boston University, where he was Chief Resident. His outside interests of skiing and hiking eventually called him West where he completed subspecialty fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging at the University of Utah. Dr. Foster is skilled in all facets of imaging including radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT and MRI. His interests include hepatobiliary, pancreatic and trauma imaging. He also performs routine and complex image-guided biopsies under ultrasound and CT guidance. Dr. Foster serves as an Associate Editor for the American College of Radiology’s Case-in-Point, a daily educational case quiz for Radiologists. Recently he was named one of Portland’s Top Doctors and awarded Teacher of the Year by the Radiology Residency Program. In his free time Dr. Foster enjoys spending time with his family and being in the beautiful outdoors of the Northwest skiing, cycling or hiking.
