Biography
Ruth enjoys serving patients of all stages and walks of life, and appreciates being able to share some of her ideas and expertise with others to help them in their journey to lead healthier and happier lives. She is passionate about preventive medicine, evidence based medicine, and patient education. Before working as a PA, Ruth's background was in transplant medicine where she worked in immunogenetics and histocompatibility. Because of her experience working with kidney transplant patients, she is eager to help her patients maintain good diabetic and blood pressure control and likes to encourage them to stay active and eat healthy. Ruth also previously worked in clinical laboratory science and is still enthusiastic about the treatment and management of infectious disease, especially HIV/AIDS. In her free time, Ruth travels, reads, dances, snorkels, paints, and spends time with her friends, family and puppy.
