Biography
Dr. Ehst received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago and then enrolled in the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Minnesota, where he completed both his doctorate in immunology and his medical degree. Dr. Ehst's dermatology residency training was accomplished at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. During his residency training, Dr. Ehst also worked as a postdoctoral research fellow investigating the immune response to vector-borne infectious disease and served briefly as a visiting resident physician in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Dr. Ehst has published in several peer-reviewed journals, has spoken at national conferences, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society for Investigative Dermatology. Dr. Ehst is the Director of Medical Dermatology and his clinical efforts focus on general medical dermatology. Dr. Ehst is also the Dermatology Director of the HIV Clinic; his special interests include infectious disease and the care of HIV-infected individuals, and his research focuses on immunologic skin disease.
