Biography
Jana Childes specializes in the evaluation and treatment of voice and swallowing disorders that may occur secondary to neurologic injury or disease. As a member of the multidisciplinary ALS Clinic, she works with patients and their families in the areas of communication and swallowing. She also sees patients at the OHSU Northwest Clinic for Voice and Swallowing, where she evaluates and treats both adults and children with a variety of voice, communication, and swallowing impairments. She is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Therapy program. Jana has published research and enjoys teaching as an Adjunct Faculty in the Speech and Hearing Sciences Department at Portland State University. In her spare time, Jana enjoys spending time with her husband and son, as well as running, cooking, and reading.
