Biography
Dr. Buist’s special interests are in asthma, COPD, pulmonary epidemiology and Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. She is the former chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine within the Department of Medicine. She earned her medical degree in 1964 from the University of St. Andrews Medical School in Scotland.
