She received her B.A. and M.D. degree from the University of Michigan with a follow-up Program in Internal Medicnie from the University of Chicago. She is also a Board and ACLS certified internal medicine specialist. Lastly, she is married to Lester Baskin, MD who is also a practicing Internal Medicine physician in Portland.
