Biography
Dr. Ahn is the Director of Clinical Hepatology at OHSU. His research interests are hepatitis B, hepatitis C, liver cancer, and liver transplantation. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago and his Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Ahn is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology. His current research studies include a Multi-Center trial to study the impact of antiviral therapy for hepatitis B on the development of liver cancer, and multiple studies on new pharmacotherapy for hepatitis C as well as screening and linkage of care for viral hepatitis. When Dr. Ahn is away from medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, practicing kendo, hiking and traveling.
