Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are research studies in which people help doctors find ways to improve health and bone and joint care. Each study tries to answer scientific questions and to find better ways to prevent, diagnose or treat bone and joint disease or ailments.
The results of these research studies, called outcomes, give healthcare providers the data necessary to make advances and improvements in the way doctors treat. Our current clinical trials are:

  • NeoCart Phase I: An Open Label Phase 1 Study of Safety of NeoCart for use in repair of Articular Cartilage Injuries
  • NeoCart Phase II: A Randomized Comparison of NeoCart® to Microfracture for the Repair of Articular Cartilage Injuries in the Knee

If you are interested in learning more about these research studies at the OHSU Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Department, or participating in a research study, please talk with your doctor.

Your participation in research studies may help us find a cure or new treatment.
