Lab Central Receiving and Processing (LCRP)

Lab Central is the primary receiving and billing area for clinical labs. In addition, many research studies are received, ordered and processed through LCRP. Lab Central insures the specimen integrity by checking to be sure the order is correct, the specimen is in the proper container, and the label is visible. Lab Central also orders the test, notes proper source as needed, and insures all consent forms are present and signed as necessary. lab Central prepares and processes the specimens for transport to the testing labs on site and packs specimens for shipping to many reference labs across the United States.

lab Central's client services area answers the lab information line, handles questions from providers, assists with obtaining results, and helps problem solve issues dealing with specimen processing and billing and resulting.

LCRP can be reached 6am to 11pm daily at 503 494-7383. After hours phone calls are referred to the Core Lab.
