WHAT'S NEW IN THE LAB

Epic Beaker, the new Clinical Laboratory Information System, will be going live in the early morning of October 20! Support for our current system is being discontinued and Beaker will complement our enterprise wide Epic EMR. Some of the new features include a Microbiology and Pathology tab in Chart Review, as well as the introduction of panels for hematology and body fluid tests to make ordering easier. Look for improved organization of the Results Review tree at go live or soon after.

In order for Beaker to "go live" on October 20, there will be a downtime lasting approximately 2 hours in the early morning; the actual time still to be determined but will result in minimal impact. Providers and staff should follow normal downtime procedures during this timeframe. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
