Tests & Procedures
As Oregon’s only comprehensive heart program, OHSU Knight Cardiovascular Institute provides a full range of cardiac tests and procedures for diagnosis and treatment. Our advanced technology and cardiovascular imaging equipment includes the only 256-slice CT scanner in the Pacific Northwest, microbubble technology to detect heart attacks - the only place on the West coast to use it - and implantation of the latest ventricular assist devices.
- Three-dimensional electrical mapping
- Coronary angioplasty
- Cardiac catheterization
- Radiofrequency ablation
- Stereotaxis ablation
- Device implantation (pacemakers, defibrillators)
Our clinical robotics laboratory is equipped with a Stereotaxis Niobe Navigation System, a device that allows our specialists to precisely place catheters in procedures that require these. Greater precision means faster procedures, better results and less radiation exposure for patients.
