OHSU has begun the process of resuming nonurgent procedures but has a temporary visitor policy. Please see our coronavirus resources page to learn more.

Visiting parents

If you are parents of an OHSU Doernbecher patient, we encourage you to visit your child at any time of the day or night.  We do not restrict family visitors.

In order to provide a secure environment for your child and your family, access to the hospital is restricted between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. To enter OHSU Doernbecher during those hours, please use the phone at the entrance in the Doernbecher lobby or enter through the ninth floor skybridge from OHSU Hospital.

All other visitors

You may visit OHSU Doernbecher patients from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Phone calls to patient rooms are allowed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Visitor parking

Visitors of OHSU Doernbecher patients on our Marquam Hill campus may park for free.

Specific information about visitor parking for OHSU Doernbecher is available online.

Visiting an intensive care unit

Visitors to intensive care units (ICUs) must follow these restrictions:

  • Only immediate family members may call or visit patients in ICUs.
  • No flowers are allowed in ICUs.
