Upon receipt of application, the selection committee will review and notify each applicant by e-mail of the decision to interview. Emails will be distributed through the ERAS system. Applicants may then call and schedule an interview. Unfortunately, due to the volume of applicants, we cannot interview all applicants.
USMLE: We do require that we receive Step 1 for all applications. We would prefer Step 2 if completed by January 31st. Applicants must pass Step 2 in order to start in our program.
For International Graduate
For graduates of a foreign medical school, at least one year of clinical training in the US or Canada must have been completed in order to apply. You must be able to meet the requirements to be employed in the US. You must also provide a copy of a valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, and participate in the National Residency Match Program and ERAS.
How to get to OHSU:
Portland have a very easy to use mass transit system. When you fly into Portland International Airport (PDX), you can take the light rail right from the airport to downtown Portland. Then switch to a street car which takes you to our Tram. We encourage you to use our Portland Tram located at 3303 SW Bond Avenue, which will provide you a quick trip from downtown Portland to our campus. www.portlandtram.org. We will mail a pass to all applicants scheduled for interviews.
