Stacy Nicholson

Stacy Nicholson, M.D., M.P.H.

Dr. Nicholson earned his degree in mathematics from Furman University, in medicine from the Medical College of Georgia, and in Public Health from George Washington University. Following medical school, he trained in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.

He also pursued additional training in cancer epidemiology at the National Cancer Institute’s Genetic Epidemiology Branch. Dr. Nicholson was a tenured associate professor of pediatrics at George Washington University with joint appointments at the Children’s National Medical Center and the National Cancer Institute before coming to OHSU in 1997 to found the Pediatric Neuro-Oncology Program.

Since coming to OHSU, Dr. Nicholson has been Program Leader for Cancer Prevention and Control for the OHSU Cancer Institute, and he served as Chief of the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Stem Cell Transplantation from 2004 until 2005. Dr Nicholson has been Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics since November, 2005.

Pediatric Medical Education Director

Dr. Ibsen received her B.A. in biology from Pomona College, and her M.D. from the University of California in San Diego. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University in 1992 and her fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care at The Children's Hospital, Boston in 1996. She came to OHSU in 1998 and is the Medical Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Director of Medical Student Education in Pediatrics.

She has been involved in the production of Compuprep, Pediatrics in Review, and the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. Her academic interests include critical care of the child with congenital heart disease, pediatric brain injury and novel ways of meeting the challenge of educating learners at multiple levels in the same environment.

She lives in Portland where she enjoys her 2 dogs and 2 cats, an inordinate amount of gardening, and travel.

Carrie Phillipi-small

Jolene Tuski

Medical Student Coordinator

Jolene is the administrative contact for Pediatrics 1, Pediatrics 2 and all Electives. She is available to answer questions about all aspects of the Pediatric medical student education program at OHSU including course requirements, administrative issues, and OHSU and visiting student registration. Due to the school schedule, Jolene's work schedule may vary.
