Pediatrics Core Clinical Experience Director

Michelle Noelck, M.D.

Dr. Noelck received her BA from Smith College in Massachusetts and her MD from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She completed her pediatrics residency and chief residency here at Oregon Health & Science University, and is now an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. A pediatric hospitalist, Dr. Noelck cares for children on the inpatient pediatric unit. In her academic role, Dr. Noelck has a particular interest in curriculum development and is passionate about her work with students and residents. Dr. Noelck is also the medical director for the inpatient medical unit at Doernbecher, where she leads an interdisciplinary team focused on quality improvement and patient safety. When not at Doernbecher, Dr. Noelck enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids. Learn more

Kelsey Richardson, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Richardson received her undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University in California. She received her MD from the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. Dr. Richardson then moved to Seattle for her pediatric residency training and pediatric nephrology fellowship training at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Richardson became faculty at OHSU in 2017. As a pediatric nephrologist, Dr. Richardson loves getting students and residents excited about renal physiology and kidney diseases. Dr. Richardson’s research focuses on helping children with chronic illness succeed in school and transition successfully to adult health care. Dr. Richardson loves exploring Oregon with her puppy and baking berry pies. Learn more

Sheevaun Khaki, M.D.

Dr. Khaki received her MD from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in North Carolina. She recently completed her pediatric residency training here at OHSU and is now an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. A general pediatrician, Dr. Khaki is particularly interested in preventative care and enjoys meeting patients and families from diverse cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Outside of work, Dr. Khaki enjoys yoga, exploring the restaurants of the Pacific Northwest with her husband, Jake, and the beautiful outdoors with her dog, Audrey. Learn more

Carrie Phillipi, M.D.

Dr. Phillipi received her MD from the University of California at Davis and competed her Pediatrics residency at the University of California at San Francisco. A Professor of Pediatrics and general pediatrician, Dr. Phillipi takes care of a wide array of childhood health issues including well child care, acute illnesses, and chronic medical and/or behavioral problems. In her academic role, Dr. Phillipi enjoys clinical research and working with students and residents. As the medical director of the Mother Baby Unit and a certified lactation counselor, Dr. Phillipi particularly enjoys caring for mothers and infants. Dr. Phillipi has four children who range in age from elementary school to college. Learn more

Staci Burgess

Staci Burgess

Staci is a native Oregonian who ventured out to live in Washington, Illinois, and California, before heading back home to settle down permanently in beautiful Portlandia. She has worked in education since 2006, and appreciates the progressive nature of academics. Having a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Oregon and attending design studios at Portland State University, Staci enjoys both the creative and analytical side of information and communication design in program management. Outside of work, Staci enjoys spending time with her family and friends, most notably her joyous, strong-willed, and hilarious daughters.
