Cardiac Intensive Care

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a special place in the hospital, where your child is cared for during recovery immediately after surgery or other procedures.

Certified pediatric intensivists  and intensive care nurses provide care to patients in the PICU 24 hours a day. We are specially trained in the care of infant, children and adolescent patients who require the highest level of medical or post surgical care.

We are committed to family-centered care. We believe you know your child best. You are welcome to stay with your child at all times during their stay in the PICU and are encouraged to participate and ask questions during daily rounds with the cardiac team.
