Training for diversity and inclusion begins at New Employee Orientation. Each employee is also required to complete an online cultural competency training called “Broadening Cultural Awareness”. This training program explores the topics of culturally sensitive care and service in a variety of contexts.
The “Respect at the University” online course provides learners with an understanding of respectful behavior in the workplace and helps them identify behaviors that violate university policy or the law. The training helps learners to understand proper behavior as it relates to all individuals (gender, race, age, sexual orientation and other protected statuses by law).
