The Leadership Foundations development program is an eight week, nine session certificate series designed to provide OHSU managers with a broad understanding of the behaviors, tools, and resources needed to be successful in a leadership role at OHSU.

Program content is designed to support a primary goal of OHSU's strategic plan, Vision 2020: “To be a great organization, diverse in people and ideas”. In addition, the OHSU core and leadership competencies along with service excellence, transparency, diversity, and quality serve as foundational themes throughout the program.

The Leadership Foundations program provides managers with an opportunity to raise their self-awareness about culture and diversity and to develop their cultural competence and emotional intelligence. OHSU managers who complete this program are better prepared to effectively manage diverse teams and serve diverse customers.
