Ryan White Coordinator, Internal Medicine HIV Clinic
I am a certified medical assistant and the Ryan White Coordinator for the Internal Medicine HIV Clinic. I started out as an OHSU patient transporter in 2002 after relocating from Houston, Texas. After becoming a certified medical assistant, I spent some time working in the Center for Hematologic Malignancies Clinic in bone marrow transplant, then transferred to the Internal Medicine Clinic where I have been working with the HIV practice for the last 6 years.
In my job the majority of my time is spent advocating for our patients. Therefore, joining the CAT time seems perfect because it would allow me to advocate for a variety of patients on a wider scale. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and coaching youth basketball and football.
