I am bilingual medical Spanish interpreter. I joined OHSU in October 2004 working on the weekends and became a full time employee February 2008. My father was German and my mother is American, and I was born and grew up in Mexico. I have had the great fortune to live and work in several countries and have immersed myself in the different cultures while I was there. I am very curious and am always trying to learn new things about other peoples and their history and traditions. My interest in joining CAT is to become more involved with the diversity offered to us here at OHSU. What an amazing place to have the opportunity to meet and get to know more worlds, right here within the OHSU campus. Outside of work I am involved in volunteering for various organizations in the community including the Casey Eye Mobil van.
