Medical Interpreter, Translation and Interpreter Services

Jaime Placeres

I am a foreign language Spanish medical interpreter at OHSU. I have worked at OHSU since 1997. I was born and brought up in Mexico City. As a matter of daily living in such a huge city, one comes in contact with an enormous variety of people and so I learned to enjoy this. I joined the CAT with the hope that my life’s experiences would contribute to the making of a work environment at OHSU where diverse people are treated as the best human beings we have ever met. In my past, when I was treated with respect, the best came out of me, unhindered, and my voice became important.

On a lighter note I love the outdoors, hiking and mountain climbing for days at a time. I enjoy all kinds of food. I am not shy about meeting new people.
