Pre-operative services

Most surgical procedures will require you to meet with the preoperative medicine clinic to:

  • evaluate you and to ensure you are able to go under general anesthesia without complications
  • meet with a Nurse Practitioner to go over your basic health history and do some basic testing

Speech pathology

The NW Clinic for Voice & Swallowing is part of OHSU and a leading regional center for voice care, swallowing problems, vocal treatment, research and training. The speech pathology team provides coordinated care from the time of surgery through follow-up in order to achieve the best voice, speech and swallowing outcomes. Learn more
