Rib Fracture Clinic

Clinic Description

The Rib Fracture Clinic accepts referrals and provides consultations for patients with rib fractures . Indications for a referral to our surgeons include:

- Flail Chest

- Rib fracture(s) with severe displacement and uncontrolled pain

- Rib fracture(s) non-union

Our practice has a clinical and research interest in the care of individuals with rib fracture injuries. We provide a distance consultation service to evaluate concerns about rib fracture injuries, both in the weeks following injury and to evaluate individuals who experience complications from a rib fracture injury, months to years following injury. We have had the opportunity to evaluate patients from the US and International locations who have learned of the work we do here at OHSU in the treatment of rib fracture injuries.
